A good question coming from I'm sure a true rocker! :wink: This is going to be about third or foruth concert out of about 100 that I've been to where I'm not going to be in GA. I've been to 6 VR shows now and all of them were in GA. I still have dents in me from the last show. I was beaten pretty bad by the moshing and I did a lot of my own, but for this show, with all the traveling I'm doing I just wanted to kind of ease back and enjoy the show from a section where I wouldn't have to feel like I'm in the gym hitting it hard. I never took being 6'3 around 200 pounds into consideration before. Nobody protects you unless you're female! :lol: And that's all I seem to do at shows where I'm in the pits. Protect the females. The guys I coudln't care less about, that's their problem. But the rockin' girls I have a soft spot in my heart for because I've seen it too many times where a few of them have got a couple of boots or elbows in the face from careless people. This time I'm going to feel a little less guilty for not being able to do anything about it. I still be right behind you while you're kickin' ass and takin' names, though.  |

Makes perfect sense Mike!! When I was in Charlotte with Big Michelle, Velvet Kitty Kat, and Love VR we were all talking about our "VR Battle Scars"! LOL!!
Glad to hear your one of the guys who helps protect the females in the pit!! Most of the VR shows I've been fine...except that time in Orlando when Matt tossed me one of his sticks & this HUGE guy behind me wanted it...BTW--the stick is sitting on my desk as I type! :lol: I don't take shit off of anyone in the pit. But it's still nice to hear you look out for us!! YEARS ago I was in the pit at a Metallica concert (the And Justice For All tour)...ended up getting my nose broken by a guys elbow at that one. But, that's the chance ya take when ya go into the pit!! :wink:

Ah yes, the VR battle scares. I fractured a finger at the show in Ottawa. That didn't tickle. Just saying you broke your nose on the ...And Justice tour makes you the coolest in book! But that must of killed, though. :? I just feel obligated to do something when there's a female near by. You don't beat the crap out of them in real life, so why do it at a rock concert, ya know? I know that it's usually never intentional, but it's just the principle behind it. And one more time... As IF you got Matt's stick!! |

I remember security pulling me out of the pit & taking me to the backstage area to kinda get cleaned up & checked out. I kept thinking 'If I can just find Lars Ulrich's dressing room!'  :lol: Seriously, I was really hoping I could somehow end up meeting the band cause of my injury, but it didn't happen. And one more time... As IF you got Matt's stick!! Ok, let me rephrase that....Matt's DRUM stick! :lol: |

", (& neither her feet nor her purse got touched at all that i saw! :shock: ) |
