So I thought I'd share with u my experiences with VR.
I was on the Vienna and Budapest shows, June 20 and 22. I've already posted my recaps on an other forum, so I don't wanna write new ones, I'll just rewrite them.
Here we go.
The Vienna show:We arrived to Vienna at about 4:30 pm. There were about 20-30 people in front of the entrance, but most of them were Black Sabbath fans, coz it was a BS concert, VR was support. At 5:30pm we stood in the row in front of the entrance. Luckily, there weren't too much people in front of us. We were waiting there for about an hour, and then we could go in. Our tickets were checked, and then we started to run as fast as we could. When we got in to the hall, I noticed with happiness, that there were still free places in the first row, so we ran there even more faster, than before. When we got in to the first row, on the left side (just where I wanted to stand), I started to shout, that: "We're in the first row!! We're in the first row!! I can't believe it!!"
So we were there....
Black Label Society played before Velvet, I didn't really like it....but during their show, I noticed a familiar figure in a baseball cap with a blonde girl on the edge of the stage, on the left side. Can u guess who was that?! MATT!!
He was watching BLS. And he looked in my way, so I started to shout and wave, and he noticed me and wved back and smiled!!! I was soo happy, and excited!! And!! Guess what!!! There was Duff too!!! They were talking there!!
When BLS finished, there was about a 20 minute-long break. And when they put on the VR stuffs, I started to feel sooo excited!! And I saw when Matt, Scott and Duff went behind the stage!!! That was a cool moment. They came up to the stage from the right side, Duff stood up to the amp ( or what's that) in the middle, and they started to play Sucker Train Blues. Everything went so fast, I couldn't think about anything, I just watched them. Slash looked awesome! He had a red shirt and black leather pants on him, and I really loved his earrings!!
But Duff.......it was unbelievable, that he was standing there in front of me.....and he noticed me several times! I was shouting and waving all the time he came to my side, and when I saw that he noticed me, I showed him my shirt (I had a shirt, which had a CBGB title) and he smiled and nodded!!
And the best part of the night: During the slow part of Slither, he came to my side, I was shouting and waving, like an idiot again, he noticed me, and he kneeled right in front of me!! :shock:
I thought I'd die..... My God, it was amazing!! My heart was beating in my throat.
Scott was awesome as well! I really liked his voice, but Duff's voice sonded soo cool live!!
They played for about an hour, then went off. We went outside with my friend, and when Black Sabbath started, we went in again, but this time we were far away from the stage. But, during the second song, I noticed a blonde head on the edge of the stage, and yes, Matt and Duff were standing there again!! We ran there, we shouted, but their couln't here us, and they probably went back to their dressing room. But after a while, Scott came out with Mary!! She's so beautiful!! And they were watching BS for a while, than went back. We were shoutng Scott's name, when he turned back and waved at us!! He was cuteee!! That was the last time, we saw them. It was soo good to see them like civils, not performers. This was one of my best night in my life! :wink:

The Budapest show:We went to the venue at about 3pm, they opened the doors at 7 pm. We were able to get in the first row, on the left side again!! First of all, an important thing:My mom told me, she was going to go to the entrance, where the band arrives, and she would try to get an autograph from Duff, and make pictures. I told her, that she wouldn't succed, but I gave her some pictures to sign, and the camera.
So, when the support band finished, my mom called me on my phone, and started: "Dear, Duff and Slash just got out of the bus! Dad made some photos of them. And I shouted Duff's name to give me an autograph, he noticed me, he put down his guitar, started to walk towards me, but that goddamn security didn't allow him near!!" I was a bit angry, but that fact, that my dad took some photographs of him, made me absolutely excited!!! I shouted in the phone, and everybody around me payed attantion to me, and asked: "What happened?"
I went with two of my friends, one of them is a real Duff fan like me, she's around 30, and she was on the Guns concert in 1992 in Budapest. Before the concert, we wrote on our palms Duff's name, everyone one-one letter (I got the double F) and Duff noticed it during the concert, and he smiled and nodded!
When the concert started, I waited for the moment when Duff noticed me, and when he did, I started to show him my shirt, just like in Vienna, and he smiled and nodded again, I really hope he remembered me!! During the concert I cought his look several times and he was smiling most of the time!!
And the stage was much more nearer and lower than in Vienna! So I was really close to them!
But here comes the best part! Duff stood in the middle with Scott and he gave his pick to a guy. He didn't throw it, he gave it to him, into his palm. That was the moment I thought I have to get a pick, I wouldn't leave without it! From that moment I tried to catch Duff's look, and he noticed me, when he was standing in the middle with Scott. I started to shout, that "Gimme your pick!!" And I showed him, and he said something with a grave face, I couldn' understand it, I cannot read from mouth :roll:
And when he came to my side I shouted for the pick again, and he said something again, and when they finished the song, he came closer to me, I stretched my arms as much as I could - I thank God that I have long arms and a height of 180 cm!! - and he gave his pick right in my palm!!! I shouted Thank you, and he smiled!!! WOW!! I took the pick deep inside my pocket immediately!
There was an other moment, when he looked at me, than he kept staring at my friend ( the one who is crazy for him). When I noticed this I pointed to my friend like an idiot, to show him that I want a pick for her as well, and in that moment he came closer again and gave the second pick in my palm!!!! He is a COOL man!!! I really apriciated this!!! I was so happy for my friend, coz Duff knew that he gave the pick to her, just my friend is so small, that Duff gave it to me!!
I started to feel tired at the end of the concert, and I was thirsty like I'd never been before, but I didn't care.
They made a fantastic show!!! They played for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Scott was great again, I really like that man!!! Wish u were here was beautiful, and the best part of the concert was You got no right! That song rocks live!!
At the end of the concert Matt came to my side to give his drumsticks to the fans, but I didn't noticed him, and I just realized that he put a drumstick right in my hand!! I was so surprised!!! :lol:
After the concert, we went to the cassa, where they came out. Everybody was waiting there to get an autograph from them, me too. But I wasn't really sure, that I got one. I just wanted to see them. But when I saw Duff coming out, I started to push myself close to him, but there were so many people in front of me, that I couldn't get really close to him, but I stretched my hand, where was my ticket, that I wanted to be signed and I shouted with a desperate voice: "Please, give it to him!!" And a hand caught my ticket, gave it to him, and I saw when he signed it!!! Then that guy gave the ticket back to me. I got out of the mass, and started to shout, that I have his autograph!!
I don't expect myself, as a lucky girl, I always pessimistic, but zhat night I was LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY!!!!!!!! And I still can't believe it!

And at last here comes the recap about how I met them
I read on the hungarian VR forum, that the band is staying in Hungary until Saturday(June 25). And I knew which hotel they were staying in. So with two of my friends- from the forum - I went to the hotel at 11am. We were waiting there for 30 minutes, when a girl around 25 years (let's call her Sue) asked us, if we were waiting for VR. She told us that she's a professional "autograph collecter" (I don't know this in English, I hope u understand what I mean) and she's been doing this"sport" for 3 years. Then she said, that she met Duff 4 times the day before, and he was really nice. She told us, that Duff went to the airport, because his family arrived the day before! And she saw him, when he took his daughters to buy them clothes!!
It was a good feeling to know that he was still there, coz there was a rumour on the forum, that they had already left the country.
We sat on the bench next to the entrance. After a few hours a bellboy came out, and told us, that there's no point to wait there, coz the band had already checked out from the hotel.....I didn't really believe this, but Sue said, that it must be true...
We were standing near the hotel, working out what to do, when Matt walked away right behind us!!!! We started to follow him slowly, then Sue said: "Excuse me, Mr Sorum!" He turned back when he noticed us, and said, that: "I'm not Mr Sorum, HE is Mr. Sorum, my father!" - or something like this, pointed at his father who was standing beside him.
He signed our stuffs, and we made photos. We asked him, if he knows, where Slash was, and he told us, he was staying in an other hotel, and said: "But don't tell him, that I told u this!" And I asked him where Duff was, he said he was in the hotel!! From that moment I knew that I wouldn't leave without a photo with my bass hero!!! And Matt was soo nice!!!
After we met him, we sat back near the entrance.....nobody came out..I mean noone familiar....but Dave came out with his girlfriend (or wife?!). We took photos again with him.
After an hour Matt came out again, we asked him when they were leaving for Greece, and he said, that they're leaving at 9 am tomorrow.
We'd been waiting for Duff until 7pm, and we decided to go in the hotel. "If he doesn't come out, than we will go in!"
We had to order something, coz there was a restaurant inside, so I bought my most expensive hot chocolate in my life! :shock:
We were sitting there, when I saw Duff's personal trainer (who is hungarian)going out.....me and one of my friend went out, followed him. We asked him if Duff was in the hotel. He said that he was, but he had no time, because his kids are sleeping, and he had to be with them. But we told him, that we'd been wating there since morning, and it would be cool, if Duff came down for a few minutes. And this man was so KIND that he called Duff on phone!!! He asked him if he was able to come down. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears, that he was speaking with him on phone, right in front of me!!! He said, that Duff was already downstairs, so we ran inside. And we saw them!!! There were Grace and Mae, Scott, Mary and their kids!! Susan was nowhere....His trainer went to him, spoke with him, then Duff went away, and his trainer told us, that Duff said he would come down later.
And yes....after a few minutes, there was Duff, with his daughters, and with Scott, Mary and their kids. They sat down around the table, which was right next to us! Then one of my friend went there, and asked him to come there where we were sitting. He made sure that his daughters were sitting around their table, than he came there! He signed my Believe in me cd. Then we took photos! He is tall!!
He was really kind, nice and patient....then he sat back around their table, he made a phone call, then he came towards us again, and said:"Hey guys, please don't take photos of the kids!" Or something like this. I really appreciated this! He is a REAL DAD!
It was just unbelievable, that they were that close....and I saw them talking, living their life.....UNBELIEVABLE!!!
And Scott came there as well and we made photos with him as well! So I met everybody, except Slash....But it was an unforgettable day!!
