Ok guys, Mike asked me to send him some pics from the VR gigs I've been to, so I thought I'd post them for everyone to see. And I thought I'd tell you a story about the best day ever. LOL

These are from the first VR gig I went to, and it was a relatively small venue. It was such a perfect day - I had the day off work, the sun was blazing (a rarity in the north west UK!) and loads of VR fans were all sitting outside the pub, drinking ice cold lager, all psyched up for the band to arrive - the atmosphere was fantastic, we had such a laugh.

I got talking to a couple of security guys who tipped us the wink that the band were about to arrive. We all waited for some glitzy vans/cars/buses to turn up with the band in, and then a little tinny Salford Hire Transit van comes trumbling up the street - and fuck me, isn't Duff sat in the front seat!  Cheesy I rubbed my eyes in disbelief, and there's Slash sitting behind him! Pissed myself laughing, it seemed so unbelievable - yet they still managed to look effortlessly cool.

If you look closely at the last one, you can see Slash in the van, and me in the reflection in the window - which means me and slash are in the same photo! - which OBVIOUSLY means he's my boyfriend!!LMAO.

Matt  spent AGES chatting to fans, signing stuff and just being a downright smashing bloke. It was JUST amazing for me to see him in the flesh, which I know sounds crazy, because obviously he's just a normal bloke - and I'm not a person who gets star struck. But I was SUCH a huge GNR fan all through my teens, and they seemed so glitzy and huge and american - and so far removed from me and my life. And when GNR ended, I just presumed I'd never see them live. And here's MAtt stood in front of me, looking every inch the superstar, in some back alley in Manchester! It was surreal.

Anyway, I'd not even THOUGHT I might get this close, and hadn't brought anything to sign. But I had a disposable camera, and I was just snapping some pics of Matt, and was happy with that. But Matt was signing stuff for all of the blokes around me, and just kept ignoring them and eyeing me up! Cheesy I was like, what the fuck?! Matt Sorum is actually checking ME out - it was surreal. So in amongst all of the people shouting and pushing, I quietly said Matt, could I have a pic?" and he bounds over! I was shitting myself! I held out the camera in front of us to take one of those photos you take of yourself, and  he takes the camera off me - gives it to this UNBELIEVABLY HOT (but slightly miserable) security bloke called Anthony , gives me a HUGE hug, and lets me get a photo. I think, you can sort of tell by the smile on my face, how chuffed I was.

OK - as I've rambled so much on this post, I'll start another with pics from the actual gig!

 ME too! I took the pic of me and my boyfriend out of my keyring, and replaced it with the pic of Matt and I! He doesn't really mind though, we made a deal that if he ever gets his photo taken with Kylie he can stick it in his keyring  Cheesy
People see my keys, though and think Matts my boyfriend - and they're like "your boyfriend a lot older than you, then?" Cheesy
